Question:
I am British and I own an apartment in Russia, and I would like to sell it. I have a buyer but because I live outside the country I need to plan my time to return and complete the sale. How long does the process take? The buyer's bank has agreed to lend him the money. Thanks for any information!

Answer:
Dear Robert!

Thank you for your question!

The standard procedure of sale-purchase process usually takes around 1 month in case the Seller doesn’t have Kadastrovy passport from BTI authorities, which is the main document, needed for registration of the deal after Title of Ownership and Sales-Purchase agreement. It is being prepared during 12 working days and takes the biggest part of preparation time.

Other documentation is being collected simultaneously.

In case there’s a full package, needed for registration, the deal may have place urgently and the only one period the Seller and the Buyer will have to wait is the registration of the deal in State Chamber, which is 12 working days for cash deals and 5 working days for deals with mortgage appliance.
